SWEET JESUS IT IS DONE

THIS little idiotic thing is what I've been doing for the past 3 weeks rather than doing any other form of artwork. 8I It's my final for my film class. And I had only 3 weeks to do it, from starting concepts to finishing sound editing. I've legit been working about 2-4 hours every single day on it.

I'm not even sure whether I like how it turned out or not. I know I could have done muchhhhh better if I had been given more time to do it, but I suppose it turned out... satisfactory.

Essentially the idea behind it was deceptive relationships, where it's more based on envy than anything and can only crumble.

If you can't understand wtf is going on, here's the plot lined out more clearly:
Basically a boy meets a forest creature. He takes their friendship to be true, but the creature becomes jealous of the boy and his humanity/self, and thus tries to take it from him. When she fails, she decides that if she can't have it, neither can he (IE snapping the plane). Thanks to the intervention of the creature's father, though, the boy is able to regain his identity and remember to keep it safe.

if I were able to make it longer than 5 minutes I probably could have made it more clear. I'd need more time for that, though. SO MUCH WORK GAH!

Ok, this is the first critique I've ever made here, which already says something in itself.

First off, GORGEOUS ANIMATIC. I cannot comprehend how much work must have went into this; And in 3 weeks time?! Lighting, backgrounds, music; they are all working wonderfully to create this whimsical and innocent story. You capture emotion and gestures very well, the timing was great.

I'll have to say the transition between the 2nd song and the 3rd song (scene with the father) is a little jumbly, but that's just me being REALLY nitpicky. And I do agree that the plot could have been a bit tighter, but overall, FANTASTIC JOB!

Wow. I love it when I see some of your work and it makes me smile. So sweet and innocent, I was about to cry.
The music was beautiful, the story seem fantastic. I could see a short of this being absolutely phenominal. I thought it was glorious, the colors, the originality of the woodland creature, all wonderful. Very Nice.
...until you get to the end. A wonderfully unexpected turn of events, and a slight sadness felt at the creature. But alltogether, it was a sweet story. I can't wait for the full version!
I hope to see some more wonderful shorts from you!

Photoshop for the drawings, and the video itself was put together in Windows Movie Maker (since I can't afford a better film editing software at the moment. x))

Wonderfull I really really love it!!

It's amazing how you did this in 3 weeks with all this detail, colors, lighting, music, editing wow the last one I did, took me a month and a half without all this details..

I loved the story, it's really sweet and so are the characters. Also I love the atmosphere of the film and I think the music really worked with it. I'd very much like to see the animated movie itself
