(Try to find the Coraline reference! It isn't really that hard. xD PS: it isn't the hand.)

Really looking forward to this film! In my opinion, it looks like the most promising animated film of 2012 (Aside from Arriety, which is from Ghibli so I know it'll be good).

I REALLY like the small town feel of this movie, it just makes me think of my childhood and really syncs me in with the feel of the movie. Plus I'm a junkie for good zombie (or and horror, even if it's horror for kids) film, SO haha I'm prolly bias there. I'm a little concerned that it's being directed by Sam Fell, since he doesn't have the GREATEST track record, but hey, I actually rather trust LAIKA at this point, since this film will determine whether they'll be able to become a major contender or not. So we shall see! I'm definitely crossing my fingers, and putting the most faith in this film over all other animated productions for this year.

Brave looks a little too much like a female empowerment movie for me to be comfortable I really have grown to despise most female characters in the media lately, so I'm a bit bias. xD; It seems all girls in media are either unable to take care of themselves, or TOO able to take care of themselves and they just become men with boobs. Although Brave definitely does seem like a mother-daughter power struggle, I guess I just have seen too many films with that struggle.

The Lorax just looks like a total miss to me, aside from really cool visual design. I'm not digging the focus on romance. Not at all. But hey, I've been pleasantly surprised before.

The Pirates: Band of Misfits looks like your usual witty british humor fare, I think I'll definitely enjoy it, although I've seen enough pirate movies in the past few years. x)

Rise of the Guardians looks like it's probably going to be the standard kiddie fare, which is too bad because I really liked the initial character designs that were released.

Frankenweenie doesn't particularly interest me at all, despite it being similar to Paranorman. For one, it's a remake. For two, it's directed by Tim Burton (sorry guys, but I'm not a fan...), and it's released by Disney, which means it could be dumbed down quite a bit. Yeah, I really am not sure it'll be too great. ALTHOUGH I will say I actually like that they chose to make it in black and white.

Wreck-It Ralph doesn't have enough info out for me to be able to understand it at all, but it looks like a kiddie flick, possibly a money-making device (sounds like a really easy toy line to me).

Madagascar 3 and Ice Age 4 don't even deserve mentioning, hehe.

Oof, that turned into a ramble.

Ah, not only one of my favorite Laika movies, but one of my favorite Stop Motion movies in general!
