Set Design

As a setting, this does a very good job of setting a great atmosphere while not drawing too much attention to itself. The kitchen feels like it has been lived in, that it has history, and that it has a story of its own about the people who live here. It does so without screaming "Hey! I'm the Kitchen!" This is absolutely the perfect setting for morning conversations over coffee (tea, for me), family dinners, game night, and everything else that happens in a kitchen. It has a few key points that help the viewer to focus in on the composition (and presumably where the actors will be), rather than away from or outside of it. If this is the master shot (which I'm guessing that it is), it does its job. Sounds to me like you're building this as a miniature set, so my advice is to have fun building it!
