This was my final at CSSSA! ...the story doesn't make much sense and is mostly symbolic, but hopefully you like it anyway. I made it in 5 days so. xD

I think it's a very great animation, I don't think the story is so complicated though there are some missing things like Why does he wants to go in the house and how did he became a beast (which I can imagine HE is like that already so is not so much) But wow ! I love the technique and the hole video xD I'm very amazed by the technique. it's a very nice piece!

Thank you so much! Yeah, I had... literally like 30 minutes for story development since I needed to start animation and backgrounds and everything so the story was def. shoddy (5 days... is not a long time for an animated short. Haha). But thanks muchly!

This... pretty much speaks miles to me. I even shed a tear or two. Indulge me, if you will.

I understood it as the story of a jaded child, perhaps with a disorder or mental illness which turned her into a monster (the bear), and the parents (plants?) who yearn so deeply to care for their child decide to put her in psychiatric care (the fortress), much to her refusal. I understood the film to be her fantasy, despite knowing that her parents mean well, and knowing she will also miss them deeply should she escape.

As I saw you explain, it's not at all that, but I felt you should know what your viewers are seeing. This is great, despite the rough edges, and I honestly would love to see this developed a smidge more. I feel like this could be a great film. Only thing I can critique at this moment is to watch out for your fingers, but I know too that it's hard to keep track of them, hahaha.

That's a fine explanation to me! I purposefully wanted it more open ended because I thought it could apply to everyone in a different way, which I thought would be great. :)

Thank you! I'll try to watch fingers more closely, hehe.

really neat! love the fluidity of the motions.. I didn't realize how hard that is to achieve until I tried it. //LOLEPICFAIL

Thanks so much! haha yeah I was focusing on making the motions fluid, I did a lot of pencil tests to make sure it looked alright before cutting out each frame.

I bruised my finger pretty intensely from cutting out every frame hshaha
